Wrinkles are not all alike

There are two types of wrinkles: static and dynamic wrinkles. You can always see static wrinkles, but dynamic wrinkles are visible only during facial movements.

Smile lines, lip lines and crows’ feet around the eyes are examples of dynamic wrinkles. RHA fillers can lessen or eradicate dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, taking years off your appearance. While available in Europe since 2015, they are now approved for use in the U.S. We are proud to be among the first practitioners in south Florida to offer this revolutionary wrinkle treatment.

What are RHA fillers?

RHA stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance found in the body, has long been used to plump up sagging skin. RHA Collection fillers take HA treatments to the next level. The manufacturing process for RHA fillers provides them with greater resilience, akin to natural HA found in the skin. The FDA has approved the RHA filler collection for correction of moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles.

Before this approval, products like Botox were used for treating dynamic wrinkles, but not HA dermal fillers. There are three forms of RHA fillers:

  • RHA 2 – Designed to treat moderate wrinkles.
  • RHA 3 – Capable of treating more severe wrinkles.
  • RHA 4 – Formulated for deep skin injection to smooth folds while restoring volume.

What are the benefits of RHA fillers?

RHA fillers are considered safe. Discuss the best type of filler for your needs with your doctor.

RHA fillers FAQs

Will RHA fillers hurt?

Dermal filler injections may cause mild discomfort, but that’s less likely with RHA fillers. They contain small amounts of lidocaine, an anesthetic. If necessary, a patient may also receive a topical anesthetic prior to the procedure.

What are the risks?

RHA fillers are relatively low risk procedures. As with other facial injectables, there is always a slight risk of infection at the injection site. There is also the risk of swelling, bruising and redness.

How much does RHA fillers cost?

RHA filler vials cost between $600 and $1,000. Costs depend on the number of vials necessary for the treatment area.

Does my insurance cover RHA fillers?

Because it is a cosmetic procedure, insurance does not cover RHA filler treatment.

What's the difference between RHA fillers & Juvederm?

Juvederm is a well-known HA filler. It can replace lost volume, but does not do much for dynamic wrinkles. RHA fillers last longer than Juvederm and their resilience makes them more adaptable to facial movements resulting in dynamic wrinkles.

How long is recovery?

RHA fillers require no downtime. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours to minimize bruising. Abstain from alcohol for that period.
