Like previous generations of carbon dioxide (CO2) laser resurfacing treatments, CoolPeel combines CO2 with an ablative laser to remove and repair facial skin imperfections.
But unlike earlier technology, CoolPeel's cutting-edge DEKA SmartXide Tetra CO2 Laser delivers pulses of healing light without generating intense heat. By precisely and safely removing the top layer of skin known as the epidermis, the laser stimulates your body to produce more collagen and elastin. These substances are vitally necessary to achieve and maintain smooth, clear skin.

You may be disqualified if you:
- Have an active infection of any kind
- Have collagen or other connective tissue disorders
- Have an immune system disorder
- Have cardiovascular disease
- Are prone to heavy or thick scarring

Preparing for your CoolPeel
Before your treatment, your provider may recommend selected skincare products to prepare your skin for your procedure, enhance your results and speed your post-treatment healing.
CoolPeel Procedure
Your Boynton Beach CoolPeel treatment will take five and fifteen minutes and be performed in your provider's office. After applying a numbing agent to your skin if you desire, your provider will run the laser device over your treatment areas. Typically, you will feel only a mild tingling sensation.
Recovery
You can go back to your normal activities, but you will probably feel and appear mildly "sunburned" for a day or two. That's pretty much it!
Maintenance and Aftercare

What technology does Allura use
For CoolPeel treatments?
We use the DEKA SmartXide Tetra CO2 Laser, the only technology that can perform a CoolPeel. The device's handpiece gives the operator complete control to adjust calibrations to provide customized treatment for each individual's goals, anatomy, and safety. Only this Tetra laser can deliver high energy in very short pulses without the heat that traditionally might damage surrounding skin.

CoolPeel is safe and highly effective, but only when administered by highly trained and experienced medical professionals. The success of your procedure is dependent on the skills of your provider.

All procedures come with risks, including infection, poor wound healing, adverse reaction to topical anesthesia, and allergic reaction to medications or materials. In some cases, CoolPeel can trigger an outbreak of cold sores. Ask about prescription antiviral medication before your treatment.
Yes, and CoolPeel has been cleared by the FDA.
Typically, there is no need for localized anesthesia. Instead, topical numbing cream is available to promote your comfort.
We recommend 2-3 CoolPeel treatments to maximize your results, with sessions separated by about 45 days.
While not considered permanent, your results should be durable if you avoid overexposure to the sun and practice a good skincare regimen. But, of course, remember that your skin will continue to age.
